Students use the command word guidance, connectives and keywords to structure their answer to the 6 mark physics P3 question. Students then use the markscheme to edit their first draft and complete their second draft before submitting it for marking. Similar to my tube tickets, I will print out these licences small to make them look as authentic as possible. Students use the keywords, command word guidance and connectives to draft their answer and then check on the back of the licence against the markscheme before editing their response. I printed these postcards onto A4 and laminated them so that students can 'write in the journal' to draft their answer or bulletpoint their ideas. The command word guidance and marking points are printed on the back so students can edit their first draft and check how many marks they picked up. For a set of postcards click here. Although there are numerous revision guides available, I wanted to create a resource that summarises the main content of each topic using common phrases found on markschemes. Students have the option to scan the QR code to listen to the my-gcsescience.com videos to recap the content before scanning in some example questions and model answers.
