If you spot any errors, please drop me a line. Spending around nine hours on average in front of the computer per resource means I might have overlooked something, missed out information or made spelling errors...😔

The transition from GCSE to A level is not an easy one for all students. In an attempt to prepare my students a little better for the regular tests we give them, I decided that it was time to create revision materials for my KS5 classes.
The first resource is a set of 1-3 mark quiz-quiz trade questions which I will use at the beginning or end of every lesson as mini tests (either in the traditional sense or as a paired, verbal activity).
To download a copy of Unit 1 (Atomic Structure, Bonding, Periodicity, Introduction to Organic Chemistry) click here.

Not all questions on the past papers lend themselves to be used as a QQT question and for this reason I created some 'flash cards' which, once printed, folded and laminated, can be used by students to practise calcuations and drawing shapes. Over time (during the Christmas holidays when I have a bit more time) I will most likely add more calculation questions. For the time being, I stuck to the elements I teach this year (bonding, atomic structure and organic at AS). To download a set of cards for bonding, atomic structure and calculation (33 in total) click here. For a set of 20 introduction to organic chemistry cards click here.
A2 Chemistry
I created these bookmarks over two years ago but felt that they needed to be updated to fit in with the new series of A level Chemistry revision materials. You can download a copy of 8 mechanism bookmarks here. I printed and laminated a set for all my A2 students which have been added to their folders to give an overview of each reaction.

To download a copy of 72 Unit 4 Further Organic Chemistry 'flash cards' click here. As always, all materials are based on past paper questions to ensure students are exposed to past paper practice every lesson. (I updated the set of cards on 31.10.14 after spotting a couple of spelling errors).
Unit 4 Kinetics and Equilibria as well as Unit 5 materials will be developed and uploaded some time between now and the new year (most likely during the Christmas holidays).
The same goes for AS level Unit 2.
I will also look at past ISAs and EMPAs to create some materials that students can use to prepare for either.

A2 Organic Chemistry is great! Just a lot to learn...
To ensure all students continue to look over Unit 1 of A2, now where January exams have been removed, I will use these 'revise-athons' with my students. Every Monday/Tuesday (depending on which class I teach) work will be handed in to me for marking/feedback. I will return the work on Wednesday so students can look over feedback on Saturday and do some DIRT. I might still set additional homework, or indeed my students will set their own homework based on how they got on in the lesson.
